v73 - The Shop

• SCRAP: a new currency. You earn it by playing: every XP point is also 1 Scrap, plus 25 for every win, 10 for every finished match and 15 for every campaign mission you clear. Everything you've already done counts, so you start with Scrap to spend. Your balance shows on the main menu.
• SHOP: six items for sale every day (the same for everyone), including a featured epic or legendary.
• CRATES: Field Crate, Supply Drop and Golden Crate, each with its odds shown. No repeats until you own everything of that rarity. Crates only cost Scrap you earn by playing.
• DAILY QUESTS: three new quests every day plus a free daily supply of Scrap.
• 46 new cosmetics: 16 hats, 14 shell trails (your shots leave rainbows, hearts, fire, lightning and more) and 16 paint jobs. Other players see your hat and trail online. Pick them in Profile, Customize.
• 3 new trophies: Big Spender, Crate Cracker and Dripped Out.

v72 - Every screen fits your phone

• Every menu was checked on small, regular and big phones (upright and sideways) and on computers. Screens now fill the space they have without feeling cramped.
• MORE MODES: every row is full. On a phone held upright it's one tidy list; sideways and on computers each group fills one row.
• PROFILE: the tank picture no longer covers your name, the colour box says TANK COLOUR, and Customize has more space between everything.
• Hard Mode no longer jumps to a different chapter when you switch it on or off.
• Room lobby, Join, Public Rooms and Load Save now look like the rest of the menus, and Settings is one neat card.
• Long screen titles shrink to fit next to the BACK button instead of running into it.
• Fixed a strip of empty colour at the bottom of the screen when the game is added to an iPhone home screen.
• Player cards in a match no longer show rank tags, and health with a shield stays on one line.

v71 - Profile, levels & tidy menus

• PROFILE: tap your name on the main menu. It shows your tank, your level and title, what's coming next, your stats and how to earn XP. Customizing your tank and Trophies now live here too.
• LEVELS: everything you do earns XP (stars, trophies, wins, golf rounds, Expedition floors and more). Level up to earn titles from Recruit to Calculated Carnage, plus new paint jobs at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 50.
• Every menu now has the same header with BACK in the top corner, and the campaign, More Modes, Play With Friends and map screens fit on a phone without scrolling.
• MAP MAKER: a much bigger drawing area, with the tools in one tidy row and the map rules in their own pop-up.
• Tank Golf no longer ends the round straight away when you play alone, and health bars are hidden on the course.
• Battle Royale is online only now (find it under Play With Friends).
• Expedition: leaving a shop without buying no longer lets you walk back into the same floor.
• The version number and patch notes are in the corner of the main menu.

v70 - Expedition & Battle Royale

• EXPEDITION: a roguelike run up 12 floors of a branching map. Fights, elites, shops, rest stops, strange events and a boss at the top. Health, weapons and gold carry over, and you pick upgrade cards as you go. One life. Your first win unlocks the Explorer paint job.
• BATTLE ROYALE: everyone for themselves, online or on one device. Lava rises after every lap of turns and supply crates parachute in: shoot near one or drive onto it for a power weapon. Last tank standing wins.

v69 - New ways to play

• MORE MODES is now one tidy screen of mode cards: Solo, Versus and Create.
• TANK GOLF: nine generated holes with water, sand traps, wind and a low-gravity hole. Fewest shots wins. Play the Daily Course (same for everyone) or a random one, with up to 4 players on one device.
• MAP MAKER: draw the ground, place up to six enemies (any enemy in the game, bosses included), pick the look, wind, gravity and your weapons, then share it. The link carries the whole map, so friends just open it and play. Four sample maps to start with.

v68.3 - Quick Match fix

• Quick Match no longer drops an empty player seat into your room when nobody else is online. The room waits with just you; add CPUs in the lobby if you want company.

v68.2 - Small fixes

• Boss speech bubbles no longer slide under the notch or Dynamic Island when a cutscene zooms in.
• The boss health bar no longer stays on screen after you quit a boss fight.

v68.1 - Quick Match fix

• Quick Match now waits a little longer for open rooms to answer, so two players searching one after the other end up in the same room far more reliably.

v68 - Deep Sea Disaster

• Season 4, Deep Sea Disaster: 18 new underwater missions across The Shallows, The Shipwreck and The Abyss, where shells float. New bosses Capt. Periscope, King Clawdius and The Kraken.
• 17 new enemies with their own favourite weapons, including a shark who is definitely a shark.
• Six new weapons in the shop: Anchor, Depth Charge, Skipping Stone, Trident, Oil Slick and Harpoon.
• Two new bonus missions with new superweapons: Full Broadside and Maelstrom.
• Survival mode (on the campaign map): endless waves, your health and ammo carry over, and every fifth wave is a boss.
• Trophies: 30 goals to chase from the main menu, with Garage rewards at 10 and 20.
• Garage: 4 new tank bodies (Submarine, Crab, Octopus, Galleon), 10 new paint jobs and 3 new death effects (Glub Glub, Blast Off, Vanishing Act).
• Two new secret codes. No hints.

v67.1 - Fair Fights

• Campaign: a single enemy shot can no longer take more than 45% of your health, so a lucky cluster bomb can't end a mission in one hit.

v67 - Circus of Chaos

• The campaign is now split into three seasons with tabs on the map: The Gen. Blast Saga (chapters 1-6), Robot Revolt (7-10) and the all-new Circus of Chaos (11-13).
• Season 3, Circus of Chaos: 18 new missions across The Big Top, The Funhouse and The Grand Finale, with bosses The Great Zappo, Big Bertha and Ringmaster Ruckus.
• Enemies with a thing: a trampoline fan who only fires LeapFrogs, a bowler who only rolls, a parrot who copies your last weapon, and more.
• Six bonus missions where you are wildly overpowered: The General's Stash, Project Big Bang (one nuke, whole map), Overclocked, Orbital Strike, Tankzilla and Party Popper.
• Fixes: the campaign BACK button no longer overlaps Daily Challenge, cutscene speech stays clear of the phone's notch, and the boss health bar is centred.

v66 - Online Update

• CO-OP BOSS BATTLES: team up with up to 3 friends (or CPU allies) against any campaign boss, phases and all. The boss gets tougher the more of you there are.
• TEAM BATTLE: red vs blue, 2v2 or bigger, with an optional friendly-fire switch. The whole team scores when your side wins the round.
• QUICK MATCH: one button to jump into any open public game, or open one if nobody's around.
• Map picker for every match, with the new arenas: Moon (low gravity), Junkyard, Jungle, Sky Islands and Candy. Random can land on any of them.
• Quick chat: tap the speech button in a match to send "Nice shot!", "GG", emotes and more. They pop up above your tank.
• Rematch button after every match: guests vote, the host starts it.
• Online ranks: online wins and co-op boss clears promote you from Recruit up to General, with a rank badge next to your name and paint jobs at Sergeant, Captain and General.

v65 - The Big Expansion

• Four new chapters, 24 new missions: The Junkyard (a robot army), The Jungle, Sky Fortress (floating islands over the clouds) and The Cake Factory finale. 49 missions in all.
• Real boss fights: bosses change phase at low health, call in helpers, raise shields, hide behind shield generators, flood the arena with lava, rain meteors and icicles, flip the wind, warp or dive around, and some are immune to fire. The final boss is a giant Cake Mech. Every boss has a health bar, a VS intro and a K.O. finish.
• All six original bosses got new phases too.
• New modes: a Daily Challenge (a new mission every day, keep your streak going), Hard Mode (after the campaign: tougher foes, separate stars) and Boss Rush (every boss back to back against the clock).
• Livelier cutscenes: emotes, parachute and rocket entrances, camera zooms, iris wipes and new scenery.
• Lots of new rewards: 13 more paint jobs, star milestones at 30, 60 and 100 stars, and the Cake tank for 100%.
• Psst: there are more secret codes to find in the Garage.

v64 - Campaign goals & rewards

• Online fixed: the free relay servers we used were overloaded and refusing connections. The game now uses four relays, connects to all of them at once and keeps whichever answers first, so one server going down no longer breaks online play.
• RESTART button in campaign missions: start the fight over without leaving.
• Know the 3-star goals up front: every mission card and title card shows them, and the top bar counts your shots against the target.
• New rewards: 3 stars on every mission of a chapter unlocks a paint job (Sunset, Crystal, Brass, Aurora, Ember, Comet). Beat all 25 missions for the Flagship tank body. 100% (all 75 stars) is still the Cake tank.

v63 - Campaign: three new chapters

• Fifteen new missions in three new chapters: The Frozen Front (Arctic), The Volcano, and The Moon, with low gravity and Gen. Blast's comeback. Three new bosses, new foes, and new cutscenes.
• New kinds of mission: a limited number of shots, an ally fighting on your side (sometimes you have to keep him alive), and long-range fights across a wide map.
• Rewards: Frost, Hazard and Galaxy paint jobs for the new chapters. Collect stars for more: Rover body at 30 stars, Champion paint at 55, and the Cake tank for all 75.
• Campaign map has a tab for each chapter and opens on your next mission. Difficulty retuned so the later missions and bosses are tough but fair.
• Cutscenes redrawn: proper cartoon scenery for every location (sunny hills, night sky, caves, snowy peaks, the volcano and the Moon), crisp tanks with thick outlines, landing dust, outlined explosions with smoke, and banner title cards.
• CPU tanks home in on you more gradually in every mode, so they no longer lock on after a shot or two.
• Phones: more space between buttons in portrait, bigger buttons in landscape, and messages no longer cover the top bar. Campaign, Guide and Patch Notes have a BACK button in the top corner.
• Fixes: The Long Shot now really puts you far apart; guidance never steers toward a teammate; cutscene speech bubbles stay on screen and point at whoever is talking.

v62 - Campaign

• CAMPAIGN: ten solo missions in three chapters, each with its own twist and loadout, three boss fights, and cartoon cutscenes (tap to advance, or skip). Earn up to three stars a mission; finishing a chapter unlocks a paint job in the Garage.

v61 - Friend requests & invites

• Friends now work properly: send a request with a friend code, they accept (even if they were offline when you sent it), and then you can see each other online, join each other's rooms, and send invites. Invites pop up as a banner with a JOIN button. The lobby has an Invite Friends panel.
• Play With Friends uses the whole screen on sideways phones and laptops: no more scrolling.
• Sandbox cards are now a proper picker with card art, player tabs and counts. Sandbox setup lost its empty box.
• The training coach sits in the top corner instead of over the action. Tanks kick back and flash when they fire, and more panels and buttons have motion.

v60 - Friends, cards & real cave rock

• Friends list on the Play With Friends screen: swap 6-letter friend codes, see who is online, and join a friend's room in one tap. No accounts.
• Typing a wrong room code no longer drops you into an empty lobby. You stay put and get told there is no such room.
• Card mode: cards are dealt in and flip themselves over, so on phones you just tap the one you want. New card backs and a pop when you pick.
• Cave stalactites are now solid rock. Shells hit them, blasts cut them, and whatever is cut loose falls, piles up on the floor and hurts tanks underneath.
• Turns move along faster, and menus, the shop and pop-up panels ease in smoothly.

v59 - Training Grounds & a simpler menu

• Update: CPU tanks now drive. They back off after taking a hit and sometimes pick a new spot. Training targets are solid, the coach gives hints instead of exact numbers, lessons only offer the weapon being taught, and target practice carries on forever afterwards. Sandbox starts solo. Burnt wrecks are gone. In the Garage the tank stays in view while you scroll.
• Training Grounds (under More Modes): six short lessons with targets. The coach reads every shot and tells you what to change, like "a bit long, try about 8 less power". Your first PLAY NOW match gives the same advice for a few shots.
• Simpler menus: Play Now, Play With Friends (join by code, create or browse on one screen), More Modes, Guide and Settings.
• Fairer fights: max power never drops below 60, however hurt you are. You get 100 fuel every round, tanks drive twice as fast, and fuel goes twice as far.
• Each CPU has its own skill level. Secret codes in the Garage unlock hidden cosmetics.
• Phones: the shop is a clean full-screen layout with READY always in reach, and the page itself can no longer be zoomed by accident.
• Sandhog tunnels vanish as the ground they ran through blows up.

v58 - Garage upgrades & phone polish

• Six tank bodies in the Garage: Classic, Heavy, Scout, Bubble, Wedge and Hover. Mix any body with any paint job. They all play the same.
• Tap a death animation in the Garage and it plays right there on your own tank.
• Phones: portrait controls are a tidy three-row panel; turning the phone no longer squashes the picture; landscape zooms in on the action instead of shrinking the whole map.
• Name, colour and Garage buttons now match, the colour fills its whole box, and the logo's blast sits exactly where the shell lands.

v57 - Falling Dirt & the Garage

• PLAY NOW: one click from the main menu into a match against a CPU, with your shot first. First-time players get a three-step coach for their first shot.
• Scorched Earth dirt physics: when a blast or tunnel opens a hole underground, the dirt above visibly falls into it, tanks ride it down, and steep loose edges slide until they settle. Dirt balls that burst in mid-air fall to the ground.
• Diggers and Sandhogs are now different weapons. A Digger is a burrowing worm whose tunnel caves in behind it (no damage, but it drops tanks). A Sandhog bursts into a colony of thin tunnels in every direction, then a fuse blows the whole network apart from underneath.
• All six death animations redone: Kaboom, Turret Pop, Meltdown, Short Circuit, Mushroom Cloud and Party Popper, with flying tank parts and cartoon smoke.
• New Garage (next to your name on the main menu): pick one of 9 tank skins and choose your death animation, or leave it on Surprise me. Other players see your skin online. CPU tanks get skins too.
• Smoke everywhere is now small outlined cartoon puffs instead of big grey blobs.

v56 - Wrecks & Tunnels

• Every weapon and item now has its own icon in the shop, Items menu, Database and weapon picker.
• Sandhogs dive into the dirt and burst into tunnels in every direction that keep branching (Baby 4 main tunnels, Sandhog 6, Heavy 8, plus side branches). Then every tunnel explodes along its whole length, under shields, so the damage traces the tunnels exactly.
• No more useless items: Auto Defense is bought once and lasts the whole game. Tracer lines fade after the next turn, while Smoke Tracer trails last the round. Battery, Force Shield, Heavy Shield and Lazy Boy are repriced so each one is the best buy for something.
• Sandbox starts a fresh map as soon as only one tank is left.
• Online: if the host leaves, the next player takes over as host and the game keeps going. This works in the lobby, mid-round, in the shop and during card picks. Players who leave at any point are removed without stalling anyone.
• Online: you can join a match that's already running. You watch the current round and play from the next one. Joining is also more patient on slow connections.
• Diggers branch the same way without charges. The Laser cuts through mountains and shields. MIRV and Death's Head fizzle if they hit something before the top of their arc. LeapFrog blasts grow with each hop. Rollers roll off shields and hit as hard as the manual says. Underground blasts make the ground slump instead of leaving floating dirt.
• New weapon picker: tap the weapon button for an icon grid sorted by type, instead of one long list. In local multiplayer, each player's guidance choice is now their own and resets after each shot.
• Six different ways to die: Kaboom, turret pop-off, meltdown, electrical fizzle, mushroom cloud and shatter. Dead tanks blow up and hurt anyone parked right next to them, and the burnt wreck smokes for the rest of the round.
• Sandbox starts a fresh map when no human player is left, instead of stalling on the CPU's turn. The shop shows more rows on laptop screens.

v55 - The Scorched Earth Update

• The full Scorched Earth arsenal: LeapFrog, Funky Bomb, MIRV, Death's Head, Napalm and Hot Napalm (fire that flows downhill), Tracers and Smoke Tracers, three Rollers, Riot Charge and Riot Blast, Riot Bombs, three Diggers, Dirt Ball, Ton of Dirt, Liquid Dirt, Dirt Charge, Earth Disrupter, Plasma Blast and Laser.
• Scorched Earth items: Heat, Ballistic, Horizontal and Vertical Guidance, Contact Trigger, Lazy Boy auto-aim, Parachutes, Batteries, Mag Deflector, Super Mag, Force Shield, Auto Defense and Fuel Tank. Use them from the new ITEMS button and MOD box.
• Online play rebuilt on always-on relay servers: no sign-up, nothing to go to sleep. Closed tabs are noticed in seconds, dropped phones reconnect and catch up, and players can join between rounds.
• The host now decides round results, turns and ready-ups, so every screen always agrees. Late shots after a timeout can no longer hijack a turn.
• Animations no longer freeze: the game now draws on a steady 60 fps loop.
• Menus sit on a live battlefield instead of a flat grid.
• Bedrock: you can no longer dig or fall through the bottom of the map, and valleys never generate below it.
• The shop has Weapons and Items tabs.
• Card mode plays like ROUNDS: after every round, everyone who didn't win picks an upgrade card.
• Scorched Earth rule: a damaged tank's max firing power drops with its health. Batteries restore it.
• One consistent cartoon look: new logo, rounded UI, and the same tank art everywhere.
• New card deck: 79 cards (duplicates and money-only cards removed), each with hand-drawn style art instead of emoji. New crate cards hand out Scorched Earth gear every round.

v54 - The Carnage Update

• Health: tanks now have 100 HP. Blasts hurt most at the center, direct hits hit harder, and long falls hurt. Health bars and damage numbers show every hit.
• Payouts: in Standard mode you earn $1 for every point of damage you deal and $50 per kill. New Repair Kit in the shop.
• Match length: pick how many rounds (Standard) or points to win (Card mode). The match ends with final standings.
• Plays anywhere: the game fills any window, phone or desktop. Drag from your tank to aim, pinch or scroll to zoom, hold the arrow buttons to drive.
• Smarter CPUs: three skill levels. CPUs now account for wind and their own cards, avoid hitting themselves, buy gear, and use shields and repair kits.
• New look: sky and parallax hills, clouds that drift with the wind, a new Arctic map, redesigned tanks, projectile trails, smoke, shockwaves, kill feed and turn banners. The camera follows your shot on big maps.
• New cards: Nanobots, Thick Skin, Lifesteal.
• Card fixes: Lead Weight, Featherweight, Wind Rider, Stiff Breeze, Scattergun, Lazy Bomb, Rubber Bullets, Drill Bit, Deep Core, Artillery, Juggernaut and Sniper King now do what they say. Blast-size cards no longer stack twice.
• Online: every shot uses a shared random seed and the host re-syncs the terrain each turn, so maps no longer drift apart. 45-second turn timer so an idle player can't stall the room.
• Bug fixes: firing a laser straight up froze the game; CPUs could fire twice in one turn; Dirt Clods destroyed tanks; Sentry Turret and Glass Cannon got free fuel every turn; EMP lasted the whole round; weapon choice reset every turn; Cancel on the load screen showed a blank page; chat and player names could inject code.

v53 - The Cards Update

• Menu Overhaul: Cleaned up UI routing and nested menus.
• Massive Mechanics Expansion: The physics engine has been decoupled to support multi-projectile bursts, bounces, clusters, and teleportation.
• 50+ Unique Cards: Added an expansive deck of unique game modifiers ranging from standard buffs to absolute chaos.

v52 - True Multiplayer Authority

• Mac Color Picker fix: Stripped default webkit padding to properly render color swatch boxes.
• Mac GPU Context fix: Executing fullscreen toggles now initiates a forced document reflow to eliminate the black-screen rendering bug.
• True Authority Lockout: Guests are now completely locked out the instant they pull the trigger. Eliminates the 0.5s local discrepancy where guests could infinitely shoot if the Host tabbed out or lagged.
• Background Calculation Thrusters: If the Host tabs out of the game, their local math loop now runs calculations in 10x burst batches to prevent the game engine from stalling for waiting players.

v48-v51 - Frame Governors & Determinism

• v51: Trajectory Throttle Fix. Added explicit cache-overrides to the 60FPS governor to fix delayed line drawing.
• v50: True Determinism. Fire payloads now explicitly package tank origins to eradicate 100% of trajectory desyncs.
• v48: Shop Freeze Deadlock eradicated. Ghost Player mid-match splicing logic perfected.

v35-v47 Archival Log

• v47: Turn Sync networking dispatched POST-increment to fix "WAITING..." lockups.
• v45: Decoupled Physics. Math now executes in an independent 16ms loop, fully separate from visual framerates.
• v41: Permanent death state latch added. Failsafe loop verification. Sandbox infinite-freeze flaw fixed.
• v39: Network debouncing to 10Hz. O(N) array splicing buffers applied. Deterministic payload compression.
